Class Description

Week 1: Foundations of Voiceover - Introduction to Voiceover: Understanding the industry and its various applications. - Vocal Warm-ups and Exercises: Techniques to prepare your voice for recording. - Exploring Voice Control: Emphasis on tone, pitch, pace, and articulation. - Script Analysis: Breaking down scripts to understand intent and message delivery. Week 2: Advanced Techniques in Voiceover - Character Development: Bringing scripts to life through character creation and portrayal. - Emotion and Inflection: Conveying emotions effectively through voice. - Breathing and Pacing: Mastering breath control and maintaining consistent pacing. - Microphone Technique: Understanding microphone placement and optimal recording techniques. Week 3: Professional Studio Experience - Studio Etiquette: Understanding professional conduct in a recording studio environment. - Directing and Feedback: Receiving direction from a sound engineer and adapting performance accordingly. - Hard Sell vs. Soft Sell: Differentiating between persuasive and subtle advertising approaches. - Live Recording Session: Each student records a hard sell and a soft sell voiceover under professional guidance. Week 3 will have students record their voiceovers in a sound studio in Mudgeeraba with Vic Kaspar, Vic has over 110 professional credits working in the Sound Department on many productions including Thirteen Lives, God's Favourite Idiot, The Wilds, Love in Bloom, Troppo, The Bureau of Magical Things plus many, many more. Payment plans are available on all our courses, secure your place with a $100 booking deposit then pay the balance over 3 weekly installments.

Booking & Cancellation Policy

Booking Policy: Our acting coaches are working actors, therefore some classes may need to be rescheduled or substituted with other coaches. Students will receive notice of any changes ahead of time. Cancellation Policy: Cancellations are accepted up to 48 hours before a course begins and will receive a credit of the fees paid (minus the $100 deposit) to be used towards future classes within 6 months. Makeup Classes: We do not offer Makeup classes or Credit for missed classes. Payment Plans: We have partnered with EziDebit to offer Direct Debit Payment Plans to our students. Payment plans are available on all our courses with weekly, fortnightly or monthly instalments and incure a small transaction fee per instalment- $1.19 per transaction debited from a Bank Account or 2.19% per transaction debited from a VISA/MASTERCARD Direct Debit request forms will be emailed within 48 hours of booking.
