Charles Allen
Acting Coach
Charles Allen studied psychology at the University of Tennessee Knoxville.
While there, he worked in theater, film, and commercials. Upon being accepted to and enrolling in the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, he moved to Los Angeles. However, the day he was intended to start classes, he withdrew and began training intensively with master acting coach Eric Morris.
Though he had studied with other coaches, Charles focused solely on this approach because of its attention to the actor as an individual and the practical tools contained within. Charles trained with Eric for 19 and half years: always returning to the studio when not performing. When an acting instructor was needed at Queensland University of Technology, Charles was recommended by Eric as a master practitioner of his work. Since arriving in Australia, Charles has worked extensively in film, television, commercials, and stage.
He is personally endorsed by Eric to teach his method and is one of Australia’s leading practitioners in the craft.
