Acting Technique for Teens

Class Description

This four week course will have your teen being guided by the incredible Isabel Laver. Her understanding of on screen performance is second to none and her gift of assisting students realising their true potential comes from a place of true love for the creative arts. This four week course is designed to purely allow your teen to tackle the craft of acting, each week you will explore a new element of acting technique that will elevate your knowledge base and give you a much deeper understanding of the art form. Week One: Connecting the instrument to text and environment. Week Two: Exploring improv, grow your timing and your sense of freedom by learning to find a sense of play in your scene work using improv. Week Three: Emotion regulation, exercises designed to promote a deeper level of emotional engagement in all of your scene work. Week Four: Camera technique and blocking, learn how to use the frame, understanding different shots, learn how to maximise your impact on screen by using simple techniques explored in this class.
