Class Description

This professional Masterclass is designed to sharpen your skill set and raise your performance for on screen acting. This course will push your range and help solidify your understanding of the unique collaborative process that exists between Actor and Director. Here at The Actors Club we are committed to bring the premium level of industry creatives to Queensland, Grant and his years of experience are a testament to that and we are beyond grateful for his time. Grant has worked with the highest level of cast and crew over an incredible 35 year career. This is a rare opportunity to work with Grant as he finishes up on the huge Paramount Plus series Last King Of The Cross, Last King Of The Cross 2 and ABC's Troppo and Troppo 2. Course delivery. Become knowledgeable on the communication between Actor and Director and develop an intuitive understanding of the Director-Actor relationship. On set preparation and understanding the transition between audition and being cast You will work on complex film and TV scenes that challenge your previous craft approach. Scene and script analysis and employing active choices that stand out. Grow your craft via learning to be flexible and directable in front of the camera, you will be directed in a scene with Grant and an allocated partner that can be used to raise the level of your current scene portfolio. Grant has been directing Television drama for over 25 years. His projects have covered many genres including the first season of Underbelly, McLeod’s Daughters, House Husbands, Rush, Love Child, Janet King, Harrow, Troppo and Last King of the Cross. He has been nominated several times for AACTA and ADG awards for direction. Several of his directed shows have gone on to win AACTA’s for best series.

Booking & Cancellation Policy

Booking Policy: Our acting coaches are working actors, therefore some classes may need to be rescheduled or substituted with other coaches. Students will receive notice of any changes ahead of time. Cancellation Policy: Cancellations are accepted up to 48 hours before a course begins and will receive a credit of the fees paid (minus the $100 deposit) to be used towards future classes within 6 months. Makeup Classes: We do not offer Makeup classes or Credit for missed classes. Payment Plans: We have partnered with EziDebit to offer Direct Debit Payment Plans to our students. Payment plans are available on all our courses with weekly, fortnightly or monthly instalments and incure a small transaction fee per instalment- $1.19 per transaction debited from a Bank Account or 2.19% per transaction debited from a VISA/MASTERCARD Direct Debit request forms will be emailed within 48 hours of booking.
