Class Description

This intensive course is tailored for actors with at least 6 months experience seeking to elevate their craft through focused training in accents, stunt work, scene study, and on-screen performance. Participants will engage in rigorous morning sessions dedicated to stunt training and afternoon sessions focused on mastering accents. In week 5 students will film a choreographed fight scene to add to their showreels, then a Business of acting Masterclass to work on your actor's portfolios and understand the business side of acting. The latter half of the course will be dedicated to scene study in the mornings and on-screen filming in the afternoons, providing a comprehensive exploration of advanced acting techniques. Course Outline: Weeks 1-4: Stunt Training & Accent Sessions Morning Sessions: Stunt Training with Darko Tuskan - Safety protocols, foundational techniques, and conditioning for stunt work. - Choreographed fight scene workshops led by Darko Tuskan. - Practical application of stunt techniques in simulated scenarios. Afternoon Sessions: Advanced Accent Training - Weeks 1-2: Southern Accent: Phonetic breakdown, vocal exercises, and scene work, filming a scene in accent in week 2. - Weeks 3-4: New York Accent: Intonation patterns, dialect drills, and scene rehearsals, filming a scene in accent in week 4. Week 5: Fight Scene Filming & Business of Acting Masterclass -Filming your choreographed fight scene under Darko's guidance -Understanding callsheets & DOODs -Exploring talent agencies and casting platforms -Your actors portfolio, headshots, showreels and online profiles Weeks 6-10: Scene Study & Filming Morning Sessions: Scene Study, Character Development and Camera Technique - Script analysis, character exploration, and emotional preparation for scenes - Pairing up for scene study exercises, focusing on dynamic character interactions - Rehearsing scenes with guidance from instructors to deepen performances Afternoon Sessions: On-Screen Filming - Filming scenes with emphasis on character development. - Advanced script analysis and on-camera technique for nuanced performances.

Booking & Cancellation Policy

Booking Policy: Our acting coaches are working actors, therefore some classes may need to be rescheduled or substituted with other coaches. Students will receive notice of any changes ahead of time. Cancellation Policy: Cancellations are accepted up to 48 hours before a course begins and will receive a credit of the fees paid (minus the $100 deposit) to be used towards future classes within 6 months. Makeup Classes: We offer Makeup classes for missed classes at our discretion, only if there is a suitable substitute to the missed class, to apply for a Makeup class please email Payment Plans: We have partnered with EziDebit to offer Direct Debit Payment Plans to our students. Payment plans are available on all our courses with weekly, fortnightly or monthly instalments and incure a small transaction fee per instalment- $1.19 per transaction debited from a Bank Account or 2.19% per transaction debited from a VISA/MASTERCARD
