Class Description

Bringing you the most respected, award-winning mentors in one program, students have an exclusive opportunity to learn from their vast experience in the Film and Television industry. Over 10 intensive weeks, you will take a journey of self-exploration within your acting by learning new US Accent and Acting Techniques, develop a deeper understanding of Scene Study and script analysis and gain On Screen Experience. Showreels will be filmed in week 10 on location with our professional camera crew and directed by Brad McMurray. Showreels will be screened at our End of Year Showcase on the big screen at Helensvale Cultural Centre. Students who have completed this course have gone on to book Guest Starring Roles on huge TV Series filmed locally on the Gold Coast, and have also signed with reputable talent agencies. American Accent with Peter 'PK' Kent: PK will help you not only authenticate your American accent but raise your acting performance as well. PK will introduce students to the Standard American Accent and Vowels, Using the letter ‘R’, Accent troubleshooting, Warm-up sentences, Improvisation work, Practice techniques, Regional USA Accents, Monologue, and Character Discussion and Accent review. Scene Study & Script Analysis with Sean Lynch: Explore in depth scene study and script analysis, while empowering the actor to explore and bring their full selves to the work, make bold, truthful choices and foster each actor’s skills and unique voice. Eric Morris Method with Brad McMurray: Develop a fundamental understanding of the terminology, concepts and applications of the Eric Morris system. Gain a unique insight into your actors instrument and begin to discover the craft and build a foundation that will allow you to better understand the process. Brad will guide students to understand the expressive and impressive elements of the instrument and what it means to work instrumentally free. Learn how to release tension on breath and sound through ‘Relax and Sensitise’ exercises. On Screen with Jolene Anderson Jolene brings a world of knowledge to our next 10 week program, her skill set lies in years of on set experience. Her depth in knowledge of scripts and camera technique will provide the 10 week actors with the encouragement to push their on screen acting to new levels. Students will be receiving direction on screen weekly with in class filming conducted by Jolene.

Booking & Cancellation Policy

Booking Policy: Our acting coaches are working actors, therefore some classes may need to be rescheduled or substituted with other coaches. Students will receive notice of any changes ahead of time. Cancellation Policy: Cancellations are accepted up to 48 hours before a course begins and will receive a credit of the fees paid (minus the $100 deposit) to be used towards future classes within 6 months. Makeup Classes: We do not offer Makeup classes or Credit for missed classes. Payment Plans: We have partnered with EziDebit to offer Direct Debit Payment Plans to our students. Payment plans are available on all our courses with weekly, fortnightly or monthly instalments and incure a small transaction fee per instalment- $1.19 per transaction debited from a Bank Account or 2.19% per transaction debited from a VISA/MASTERCARD Direct Debit request forms will be emailed within 48 hours of booking.
